Kajaria Ceramics Clears ₹296.70 Crore Buyback – Shareholders Vote 97.82% in Favour

June 26, 2026 Tiles & Ceramics

India’s largest tile manufacturer has formally cleared its ₹296.70 crore share buyback after shareholders voted 97.82% in favour via postal ballot, with results declared June 23, 2026. The buyback covers up to 21.50 lakh equity shares at ₹1,380 per share through the tender offer route, with June 29, 2026 set as the record date. The board had originally approved the move on April 30, 2026 – alongside FY26 results that showed standalone net profit surging 62.3% year-on-year to ₹487 crore on revenues of ₹4,830 crore. The buyback is being funded entirely through free reserves and internal accruals, with promoters choosing not to participate. The announcement comes weeks after Kajaria’s wholly-owned subsidiary commenced commercial production of tile adhesives at a new 1,08,000 MT per annum facility in Perundurai, Tamil Nadu – signalling active expansion on multiple fronts despite industry-wide input cost pressures.

What this means for the trade: A near-₹300 crore buyback backed by 62% profit growth tells you Kajaria’s war chest is intact – dealers should expect renewed investment in capacity, new product lines, and network expansion over the next two quarters.
