Hindware Home Innovation completed the acquisition of French partner Atlantic’s remaining 50% stake in Hintastica Private Limited on June 30, 2026, for ₹2.79 crore – converting the joint venture into a wholly owned subsidiary. The company also invested ₹15 crore in a rights issue to support Hintastica’s working capital, and extended a ₹25 crore corporate guarantee for its operating facilities – a total commitment of approximately ₹40 crore to the water heater business. Atlantic exited after declining to participate in the rights issue. Hindware has stated its intent to grow the water heater segment independently under the Hindware brand. On the leadership front, Shashvat Somany has been appointed Additional Director at the parent company effective July 1, and will take charge as Joint MD of subsidiary Hindware Limited from October 1, 2026.
What this means for the trade: Full ownership gives Hindware direct control over its water heater strategy without partner approvals – dealers stocking Hindware’s bathware and appliance range should expect faster product decisions, tighter brand integration, and a renewed push in this category through FY27.
