GROHE’s strategic entry into India’s sanitary ceramics segment, announced in December 2025 with the Essence Ceramics Collection, has moved into active commercial rollout — with distribution now expanding through 150+ distributors and 25,000+ channel partners across India as of March 2026. The Essence range covers wall-hung toilets and ultra-slim washbasins with 6mm profile thickness, manufactured locally in India. GROHE followed this with a February 24, 2026 launch of Matte Black Ceramics — extending the finish across its full bathroom range in both GROHE and GROHE SPA portfolios, responding to growing consumer demand for non-white finishes in premium residential and hospitality projects. The moves confirm GROHE’s repositioning from a fittings brand to a complete bathroom ecosystem player, competing directly with Jaquar, Kohler, and Hindware across the full sanitaryware category. Products are also available on Amazon, Flipkart, and quick-commerce platforms including Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart.
What this means for the trade: Dealers currently stocking GROHE only for fittings should be having a conversation with their GROHE contact about expanding into ceramics – local manufacturing, 25,000-strong dealer network, and e-commerce presence signal this is a serious, sustained push, not a soft launch.
